Hoya en Succulent

In addition to orchids, Claessen Orchids also offers house plants. This category of tropical plants is also suitable for people without a green thumb and are nice to combine with other plant species.

The name succulent comes from the Latin word sucus, which means juice. This is a plant that stores water in a part of its body, for example in the root, stem or leaf. In nature they need this water to stay alive in a drier period. A succulent is easy to maintain because it requires little care. The only condition is heat. After all, they come from warm areas such as tropics and deserts.

The Hoya is also called wax plant. The plant has glossy leaves and many flowers. Hoya is a genus from the periwinkle family. It grows naturally on trees and rocks, but in our climate it is a real houseplant. You can keep them as a climbing or hanging plant. Once they are in a good place in the room, this plant is easy to maintain. There are many types of Hoyas of which we have a broad representation in our range. The Hoya can grow well next to other house plants, both orchids and succulents. Hoyas flower regularly and are therefore an attractive addition to any plant collection.
