Consequences COVID-19

First of all, we hope that you and the people around you are doing well!

The effects of the pandemic are being felt all over the world, including at Claessen Orchids and Plants. As a small family business, we had to adapt quickly to the guidelines issued by the government; stay at/work from home where possible and keep social distance. This has a major effect on how we can do our work, so we have not yet managed to update the backlog we already had.

What are the consequences for you?

Longer response time

Normally we respond to an email within 4 business days. But given the mailbox is overloaded, we are currently unable to do so. We handle emails in order of receipt and do our best to do this as quickly as possible. We would like to ask you for your cooperation by not sending multiple emails in a row and only sending an email if necessary. Thanks in advance!

Order delayed

It takes longer than usual to process your order. In some cases this can take up to several weeks. If the payment for your order is successful, you can assume that we have received it in good order. Due to the circumstances, it is difficult to provide an update on the status during the processing of your order. Our apologies. If any particularities occur during the processing of your order, we will contact you. Otherwise you will receive the track&trace code as soon as your order is ready for shipment. Again, keep in mind that this may take some time!

Shipping delays

Especially during this time there is a chance that packages will be in transport for longer than usual. We keep a close eye on the updates our carrier provides. However, they too cannot indicate in advance how a shipment will proceed, given that the measures differ per EU country and are constantly changing. We try to continue to serve you as much as possible so that you can somewhat brighten up your home with plants! Physical shop and greenhouse are closed

It is important that we can guarantee the safety and health of our customers and colleagues. That is why we decided to keep the physical store and greenhouse closed to visitors until further notice. As soon as it is possible to visit us again, we will indicate this on the webshop. Until then, you can make your purchases online.

We hope to have informed you sufficiently in this way. Our team consists of only a handful of people. But we do what we can and work with what we have, within government guidelines. We hope for your understanding and would like to express our appreciation for your patience in advance.
