Orchidées extérieur

Orchids don’t just appear in the warmer areas of the world. Some orchids can live in a colder climate as well. For this reason, there are orchids that can stay outside all year round, in a pot of in the ground.

These ‘Outside orchids’ are often frostproof and can handle a frost of around -15 degrees. Outside orchids appear in many species and sizes. 

In case the plant is in a pot, it’s harder to keep the plant inside in the winter months. We recommend to shelter the plant well against the cold, or to place the plant on a cool and sheltered place in the colder period, for instance in a greenhouse or in a garage.
