What is the difference with DPD Home?
DPD Pickup Point allows you to choose a DPD service point in the check-out where the parcel will be sent. The choices afterwards, to send the parcel to your address or another address or to give drop-off permission, are then eliminated. Having it sent to a pickup point is then the only option, but you can choose the shop it goes to on the card.
With DPD Home, after obtaining the tracking link, you will receive an email giving the options of choosing another address, giving drop-off permission and having it sent to a pickup point.
Why is DPD Pickup Point cheaper than DPD Home?
Because DPD requires less fuel when multiple parcels are sent to the same point (Pickup Point), this shipping option is not only cheaper but also more environmentally friendly. So it is also a way of encouraging customers to make a greener choice.Can I get my money back if I choose a service point afterwards?
DPD charges us for the cost of having the options in the mail afterwards.So if, for example, a service point delivery is chosen in the mail after checking DPD Home (instead of at check-out when choosing DPD Pickup Point), the costs for us are not reduced by DPD. In fact, payment is made for having this choice. The shipping method will then continue to be called "DPD Home".
It is therefore only possible to get a discount in advance when DPD Pickup Point is chosen in the check-out.
Conversely, extra shipping costs will also be charged when customer service is asked afterwards to ship to a home address after all.
Why can't I find DPD Pickup Point in the check-out?
Not everyone can use this option. This is because certain countries do not yet have enough service points or DPD does not yet have this option for the country you want to ship to.
Perhaps this will change in the future, but at the moment this shipping option is unfortunately not available for your order.
