The Clowesia is a real attention-getter. The orchid can produce long clusters of striking flowers grow. Most varieties have light green, white or pink flowers with occasional yellow highlights on the lip. Popular species include Clowesia Rebecca Northen, Clowesia rosea, Clowesia Jumbo Grace and Clowesia russelliana. The orchid's shape allows it to be pollinated by male euglossine bees. Naturally, the Clowesia comes from Central and South America. For a long time, species of this genus were considered Catasetum, but this was eventually modified when it was found that the plant really does have different characteristics.
