Natural habitat of the plione orchid

Originally the Pleione Orchid comes from the Himalayas mountains. There the plants are used to a somewhat stricter climate than other exotic orchids. This way many of these orchidets can tolerate very light frost. But there are also species that prefer some warmer temperatures.

Care of the Pleione Orchid

The Pleione Orchid is in the wild in a well -draining soil in a rocky area. Usually this is moss. Try to take this into account with this.

Crossings of the Pleione

The Pleione is best known for making the property fun crossings. This has to do with, among other things, the fact that this gender orchids are often fairly easy to care for.

Winter bloomers

In general, Pleione Orchids are known for the easy care and tolerance of cooler temperatures. In the winter they are also (just like cymbidiums) often inclined to bloom. Types of the Pleione can therefore generally be counted among the winter bloomers.
